Deltek, Inc. today announced that it has released Deltek Earned Value (EV) Essentials, a new solution offered as part of its best-in-class Enterprise Project Management suite. Deltek EV Essentials is a combined technology and service solution designed to help program management teams without earned value experience get up-and-running quickly on earned value management (EVM). By leveraging an organization's existing investment in project scheduling and cost accounting the EV Essentials solution package offers everything needed including technology, training and processes that enable an organization's introduction to earned value.

Deltek wInsight is the premier solution for analyzing, sharing, consolidating and reporting earned value management data, and provides a common database for analysis and reporting on projects across an entire organization. The 6.4 release includes the new Defense Contractors Management Agency (DCMA) trip wire metrics and reports that provide early warning indicators to variances in project performance and enables organizations to proactively identify potential problems before they occur.

EV Essentials Training & Implementation
The EV Essentials training components are offered through fixed-cost implementation and are designed to foster awareness and to drive adoption of earned value best practices. Sessions include product introductions on wInsight and Cobra, EVM 101, How to Use Implementation Guides and How to Use Contract Performance Reports (CPRs). Post-training, attendees will be able to produce the CPRs that support earned value management contract requirements.
